External Description:
To perform the general /specific duties required for the office to fulfill customer orders and requirements.
Responsibilities:
  • Observance of all safety rules and policies maintained by the company;
  • Print pick tickets from the pick planning report; separate them, attach backorders if needed;
  • Review each pick ticket for customer instructions and highlight before issuing to the warehouse;
  • Discrepancies on pick ticket should be resolved before a pick ticket can be accepted or processed;
  • Place pick ticket at the designated window for Order Pickers.
  • Communicate with customers and/or carriers for special instructions;
  • Completed tickets are to be billed using ORACLE System
  • Print bill of lading with pallets/weight information/special instructions, and packing list prior to shipping. Hand out to warehouse personnel;
  • Transfer special instructions from pick ticket to bill of lading as required by customer/customer service.
  • File customer orders by customer number
  • Create new file folders as needed
  • Answer telephones
  • Assist with other duties in the office as needed;
  • Observance of all safety rules and policies maintained by the company;
  • Maintenance of good housekeeping practices throughout the office;
Education/Experience Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred;
Knowledge:
  • Must demonstrate office skills;
  • 2 year general office experience;
  • ORACLE Production system helpful;
Skills:
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Must possess successful problem solving skills;
  • Must demonstrate clear verbal and written communication skills;
  • Must have reading and written communication skills, including, but not limited to customer orders;
Ability:
  • Must be able to work as scheduled (a full work week) and work overtime as requested;
  • Must be able to follow the requirements of the code of conduct at all times;
  • Must be able to perform job duties without creating a safety risk;
  • Must be able to work as a part of a team to achieve the company's overall goals;
  • Must be able to meet production goals and time deadlines for company projects;
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision;
  • Must be able to rotate to other office duties as the need arises or as deemed necessary;
  • Must be able to exhibit tact and diplomacy and maintain professional relationships with supervisors, fellow employees, customers, etc.
  • Must be able to work under physically and mentally stressful situations;
  • Must be able to prioritize and easily adapt to changes through the day;
Other:
  • Must assist in other departments as the need arises;
  • Must perform other duties as deemed necessary or assigned.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
