Position Summary: To perform the general /specific duties required for the DistributionCenter.
Responsibilities:
  • Observance of all safety rules and policies maintained by the company;
  • Manages warehouse activities
  • Responsible for shipping customer orders;
  • Identify measures that can improve various warehouse processes without the additional financial burden
  • Identify and research any problems relating to the picking, shipping and transportation process, and to make recommendations, through proper channel, for possible solutions;
  • Initiate corrective actions, as appropriate to prevent the re-occurrence of non-conformities relating to the picking and shipping and the transportation process;
  • Monitor and verify the full and effective implementation of corrective actions;
  • Perform random audits to customer audits;
  • Interview warehouse applicants and refer to Human Resources for hiring;
  • Reviews employees performances and provided feedback and suggestions for improvement
  • Ensure lines of communication are open by conducting weekly meetings;
  • Follow Corporate Headquarters contract carrier program;
  • Discuss with carriers representatives the needs of the DC and customers;
  • Report transportation issues as loss and damaged shipments to Corporate;
  • Maintenance of good housekeeping practices throughout the DistributionCenter
Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
Knowledge:
  • Must demonstrate office and warehouse skills.
  • 3-4 year Warehouse Coordinator/Supervisor experience.
Skills:

  • Must demonstrate clear verbal and written communication skills;
  • Stellar leadership skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Strong organizational skills
Ability:
  • Must be able to work as scheduled (a full work week) and work overtime as requested;

  • Must be able to perform job duties without creating a safety risk;
  • Must be able to work as a part of a team to achieve the company's overall goals;
  • Must be able to meet production goals and time deadlines for company projects;
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision;
  • Must be able to rotate to other warehouse duties as the need arises or as deemed necessary;
  • Must be able to exhibit tact and diplomacy and maintain professional relationships with supervisors, fellow employees, customers, etc.
  • Must be able to work under physically and mentally stressful situations;
  • Must be able to prioritize and easily adapt to changes through the day.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
