You will leverage all the Amazon leadership principles, especially Learn and Be Curious and Dive Deep to understand the costs for your area of responsibility.
You will provide in-depth analysis and provide insights and recommendations to your business partners with guidance from your manager.
You'll also help some of your finance partners understand best practices from other sites too.
You will also manage the aspects of controllership and how to ensure compliance.
Key job responsibilitiesBusiness Finance Support:
Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses to reduce cost and improve financial performance.
Build financial analysis models that solve complex business questions, identify root causes of business performance and influence decision-making.
Provide financial analysis and strategic support for Site capital projects.
Identify opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes.
Controllership:
Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
Work with a variety of data sources and identify incomplete or inaccurate data, identify root causes, escalate discrepancies, execute fixes, and partner on the resolution.
Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
Communication:
Intuitively utilize active listening skills to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner, adjusting your style based on audience, to articulate complex finance issues.
Create effective business partnership with Site Leaders, manage competing priorities, and provide guidance during unexpected events.
Team Leadership:
You are curious and seek learning opportunities to develop deeper or multiple areas of finance expertise and share knowledge in and outside of your team.
